Feature Interview – Chris Smith

Chris Smith and the 48 Hour Corvette

Our feature guest in this episode was Chris “Smitty” Smith, fresh off of his record-setting win at Texas. At the event he scored the highest ever OSUSC point total – 121 out of a possible 125 points – and did it in the GTV (Vintage) class in the just assembled RideTech 48 Hour Corvette – it’s second event….ever!

We asked Chris on to spill the beans on his secrets to winning. As you’ll learn, aside from using amazingly well designed components (and being a heck of a wheel man), Chris gives a lot of the credit to the preparation of the car setup. They spent a significant amount of time dialing in the suspension overall to get the balance and bit he was after, and it paid off in big dividends.
