hi

Neither Rain now Snow shall keep a “Real” street car from racing!

New Jersey Results and NCM Preview!

In this episode Jimi was back in studio where we had the chance to dig into all of the results from the rainy New Jersey event. It turns out that rain really doesn’t make a street car wilt away and in many cases helped people implement new levels of car control that turned into fast times!

Cool Notes of Interest:

Speed Stop
First Time Ever: Top 3 finishers in the GT Class were in Mustangs
Design and Engineering
First Time Ever: Top 3 finishers in GTV were in Mopars (Kevin Tully ’64 Valiant, Michael Sorrentino ‘71 Challenger, Peter Bergman ‘71 Dart)
Autocross
First Time Ever: One run consisted of 2 laps (Good Guys-ish style) to accommodate the smaller course size. It didn’t favor the AWD cars as on on Lap 2 warmer tires leveled the competition. Cars that finished 1st and 2nd were both rear drive high horsepower cars.
