Welcome to the Optima Search For the Ultimate Street Car Series Podcast! This show is produced twice-per-month show and will be a great way to keep people informed on everything going on, from rules discussions, to event coverage, and to feature interviews with competitors and people of interest!

Feature Interview:

Dan Long with Downforce Motorsports!

Since we’re in between events we wanted to bring on another guest for a feature interview related to the series. Last year we asked Dan Long of Downforce Motorsports to come in and discuss their sponsorship of the (at the time) all-new GTR class, where the “R” stands for “Replica.” We’re now a full year in to the class and we wanted Dan’s candid take of how it’s progressed as well as where he’d like to see it go.

As you’ll hear, Dan has a unique background. He’s a military veteran and a former pro-athlete! His passion for cars predates his love and working relationship with Superformance, and it clearly shows in the unique success they’ve had. We literally asked him “how many Cobra’s can people really want to buy, anyway?” He had an answer. A good one!
